I    In the month of July,2011 the Department organised a two day review writing workshop for its Third year and  Second year students, the resource person for the workshop was Senior Journalist, Mr. Frederick Noronha.

        In August 2011, two day workshop on “writing for new media” {Blogging} was organised with the help of Founder of WAVE, Ms. Sapna Sahani.

           In order to improve the quality of lab journals, a one day workshop was organised on “Improving the quality of lab Journals” the resource person for the day was Mr. Ashley Rosario, Ex. News Editor of Gomantak Times, Ms. Smitha Venkateshwaran, Ex. Corrospondent, The Economic Times and Mr. Frederick Noronha, online Journalist.

   

        A workshop on Community radio was jointly organised  for the first year students of Journalism / Mass Com by  the Department of Journalism and Department of Mass Communication in the month February,2012,  the resource person for the workshop was Mr. Sajan Venniyoor, general secretary at the community radio forum India and Mr. Sachin Chatte, RJ, AIR. 

       

        One day workshop on Indoor Photography was organised for the TYBA students, for the paper Photojournalism in the month of February, 2012. The resource person for the workshops were Prof. Sunil Badri and Prof. Samvartha of Manipal University.
