Mr. Euan Rocha, Reuters, Canada
‘Euan Rocha covers mining and minerals in Canada, where he focuses on gold, base metals and fertilizer companies. Euan, who is currently based in Toronto, has previously worked with Reuters in the United States and India. While based in New York for four years, Euan headed the Reuters Alerts team, before moving on to cover the U.S chemical industry. Euan began his career with Reuters in Banglore, India in 2004. The students of Journalism got the opportunity to interact with Mr. Rocha in the Month of January, 2012. He spoke on various aspects of Business Journalism, Sources of Business News, Career opportunities in the Business and wired agencies across the globe.



Ms. Smitha Venkateshwaran, Freelancer
Ms. Smitha, a Freelance journalist has been working in the field of Journalism for more then  a decade now. She had a worked with CNBC TV18 as a  Goa Correspondent. In the print media she has worked with The Economic Times. Presently she is working as a freelance journalist by Contributing regularly to the O Heraldo, Goan Daily.



Mr. Frederick Noronha, Sr. Journalist.
A journalist since 1983. From November 1987 onwards Noronha was staff correspondent for Deccan Herald. But from 1994 onwards, he turned a freelancer and has written for India Abroad News Service now (Indo-Asian News Service). He also worked as an editorial consultant with Herald (Goa) from October 2003 to April 2004. His publications has been featured in The Economic Times, The Financial Express, Spider Internet Magazine (Pakistan), Associate Press, Dawn, BBC website and Outlook.



Ms. Dolcy D'cruz, Features-Sub-Editor.
Dolcy D'cruz, a graduate from St. Xavier's College has been working with O Heraldo as a Features-Sub Editor. The First year students of Journalism and Mass Communication had an opportunity to interact with her. She took a session on the writing skills required for penning down features on a variety of topics.






Mr. Ashley do Rosario, Freelancer
An ex. news editor of The Gomantak Times (GT), a Goan edition of Sakaal Publication, interacted with the students of First year and Second Year Journalism batch. He conducted a session on how to get in to the field of Journalism, while pursuing the Degree in Journalism. He was joined by Mr. Frederick Noronha, Ms. Smitha Venkateshwaran for workshop on improving the Lab Journals.
