Winners of ‘CALAMUS'

The Department of Journalism of St. Xavier’s College organised CALAMUS ‘Where we speak for ourselves’ a one day inter-collegiate event on 13 Feb. The main aim of the Competition  was to provide a platform for students to explore their creative, innovative and expressive minds, to showcase their potential and talents.
The Chief guest for the inaugural function was Mrs. Nandini Sahai, Director of International Centre Goa, who spoke on the importance of journalism in today’s world.. There were various competitions held like Debate, Treasure hunt, Mad ad, patch work, Jam, Animated Cartooning, linkage etc.
The team of Goa University was declared the overall champion and second runner up was the Rosary college of Navelim. The event had entries from Goa Medical College, M.E.S ,G.V.MS etc The judges for the compitions were, Rajiv D’silva, RJ Sachin Chatte, P. Narayan, Smitha Venkateshwaran, Pantaleao Fernandes, Sara Pires, Edson Marting, Lara Rebello, Nikhil Periera, Sagar Agni, Rupesh Samant, Dr. Rohan Karmali, Sapna Sahani, and Nicole Suares

'CALAMUS' - You Are Cordially Invited


'CALAMUS - Where We Speak For Ourselves'

 
The Department of Journalism, of St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa
will be hosting a one day inter-collegiate event for the first time
“CALAMUS - 2012 – Where We Speak For Ourselves” 
on the 13th of February, 2012 at the College Seminar Hall. 


This event is a platform for students to explore their innovative and expressive minds; and to showcase their skills and talents.

Please note the following details:  
1.    Registration  fee       : Participating college : Rs. 300 (with ID cards)               
2.    Venue                        : St. Xavier’s Seminar Hall.
3.    Date and time           : 13th February 2012, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.     
           
Further details of “CALAMUS 2012” are mentioned in the rulebook.
